Random Acts of Kindness Day 6

Well, the spreading of kindness continues!  This time I asked my neighbors if their child had written a letter to Santa.  If they did, I asked them if it would be ok if I played "Secret Santa" and leave a letter "from" Santa in their mailbox.  If their child didn't write a letter to Santa, I gave them a copy of the template below:

Then I waited a few days, got all of the envelopes and letters ready, and started my deliveries.  I went out and about after it had gotten a little dark (just like Santa!) so I wouldn't be seen by the eyes of my sweet little neighbors.

Even though I didn't get to see any of them open up their some-what official letter from Santa, all of my neighbors said it made their child's whole day!  I can't wait to do this with my students!!

Want to spread a little Secret Santa kindness in your neighborhood or classroom?
If so, click on the picture below to get this 11 page freebie!
This file includes a template for your child's or student's letter to Santa, a customizable, letter from Santa to 1...2...or 3+ children, Santa address labels, address labels for the letter from Santa to the child/children, return address labels, and "stamps".
Add this to your lessons this week for a little bit of added fun or do it with your own children to add to the holiday magic this time of year brings.

I love this idea. I had my students write to Santa last week for our culminating friendly letter activity. I had them write how they've been good this year and then ask Santa a question. I'm responding to each of them and will mail the letters on Wednesday. Our last day is Thursday so I hope they will get them either Thursday or Friday. Blessings to you and Happy Holidays!
